Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Handle food with care, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Assist in the preparation of other Japanese cuisine items as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated regularly
- Serve customers with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent food service
- Follow all health regulations related to food handling, cooking, and sanitation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, or food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of sushi making techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen environments
- Excellent attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; passion for Japanese cuisine is a plus
