Overview
We are a Concrete Cutting company based in Brantford Ontario, working across the GTA, from Oshawa East - Barrie North -Niagara South - London West & More. We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Cutter 1st-3rd Year Apprentice to join our construction team. This role involves assisting an Operator with GPR scanning, core drilling, wall sawing, slab sawing, wire sawing, road sawing and more, while ensuring an industry standard level of safety and quality standards on and off site.
The ideal candidate will have their own vehicle to come and go from the Brantford shop daily, a strong work ethic, willingness and capability to learn, and an interest in construction trades. Prior experience in concrete cutting, concrete demolition or construction is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic construction environment with potential for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mobilization and demobilization of concrete cutting equipment and other construction equipment.
- Assist an operator with GPR scanning, core drilling, wall sawing, slab sawing, wire sawing, road sawing and more, using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Operate or assist with heavy equipment under supervision for demolition or material movement
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and tools safely on a daily basis
- Aid in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, and other structural components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site
- Hand in daily work orders inclusive of all work completed, hours of travel and on-site, and customer information
- Assist with tasks as directed by supervisors
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate or assist with heavy equipment safely
- Construction experience
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking on-site
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently in a construction environment

Pay: $25.69-$35.58 per hour
