Journeyman Electrician

- Residential service upgrades
- Electrical panel replacements
- Residential renovations
- Home standby generator installations

What You'll Be Doing
- Residential service calls
- Residential renovations
- Electrical panel replacements
- 100A & 200A service upgrades
- Overhead and underground residential service repairs and upgrades
- Generac standby generator installations
- EV charger installations
- Residential troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Customer walkthroughs and education
- Mentoring apprentices
- Completing work orders and documentation using Jobber
- Working closely with our office team to deliver an outstanding customer experience
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification
- Extensive experience working in residential renovations, service work, and occupied homes
- Strong knowledge of the current Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and Alberta electrical practices
- The ability to confidently navigate, interpret, and apply the Canadian Electrical Code to real-world installations and troubleshooting situations
- Excellent residential troubleshooting skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record
Preferred Experience
Experience with the following is considered a strong asset:
- Residential renovations and basement developments
- 100A and 200A service upgrades
- Overhead and underground residential service upgrades
- Electrical panel replacements
- Generac standby generator installations
- EV charger installations
- Residential troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Working directly with homeowners and electrical inspectors
- Working with FortisAlberta and EPCOR service requirements, utility coordination, disconnect/reconnect procedures, inspections, and meter socket installations

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Primarily daytime hours
- Occasional overtime
- Occasional weekend work may be required to meet customer schedules or project deadlines.
Licence & Certification
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician (Required)
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence
