Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting physiotherapist in delivering effective patient care across various settings, including hospitals and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of medical terminology and patient management. Duties
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
- Support patients during therapy sessions, including positioning, mobility assistance, and exercise guidance
- Maintain accurate case management records and document patient progress using electronic health records systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care
- Manage scheduling of appointments and follow-up visits efficiently using organizational skills
- Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions and report any concerns or adverse reactions promptly
- Support administrative tasks related to patient care, including Billing for MVA, WSIB & EHC
Experience
- Prior experience in community clinic is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Jane app software is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of varying ages and backgrounds
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Analysis skills for assessing patient progress and adapting treatment support accordingly

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
