About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) who shares our values of neurodiversity acceptance, trauma-informed care, and client-centred practice.
This position offers the opportunity to support clients of all ages with a wide range of goals, including:
- Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation
- Autism and ADHD support
- Executive functioning and life transitions
- Self-esteem and identity development
- Burnout and stress management
- Family relationships and caregiver support
- School, work, and post-secondary challenges
- Social connection and interpersonal relationships
- Grief, adjustment, and life changes
We welcome clinicians who view neurodivergence as a natural variation of human development and who are passionate about adapting therapy to meet each individual's unique strengths, communication style, sensory needs, and goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counselling to children, adolescents, adults, and caregivers
- Deliver neuro-affirming, strengths-based, evidence-informed therapy
- Collaborate with families and other members of our interdisciplinary team when appropriate
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case notes
- Participate in case consultation and ongoing professional development
- Support clients in achieving meaningful, individualized goals
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation or registration as a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario
- Professional liability insurance
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience supporting neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
The following would be considered assets:
- Experience supporting autistic and ADHD individuals
- Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), or other evidence-based modalities
- Experience working with caregivers and families
- Experience providing virtual and in-person counselling
- Bilingual (English/French)
