At Elk Ridge Modular, we build high-end modular homes and cabins under one roof in Coldstream, BC — 16,000 sq ft of clean, organized shop with room to move and room to grow.
That means no weather delays, no mud, no chasing materials across a job site. Controlled conditions, consistent workflow, and the ability to actually dial in a process instead of fighting the same problems every day.

Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an Entry-Level Builder to work alongside our Skilled Builders and learn this trade properly.
You don't need years of experience. You need to want it. You'll be paired with people who've been doing this a long time, working across framing, finishing, and everything in between, learning the order of assembly and why each step matters. How fast you move up is mostly up to you.
That's the deal: we'll teach you, and we'll invest in your development. What we're looking for is someone with the right attitude who wants to grow with us.

You're honest, even when it costs you something. If you screw up, you say so. If something's wrong, you flag it early instead of hoping nobody notices. We'd rather hear about a problem at 9am than find it at 4pm.
You want to get better. You ask questions. You pay attention to what the guy beside you is doing. You want to be worth more a year from now than you are today.
You take pride in your work. Not because someone's watching, because you can't help it. You care what your work looks like with your name on it.

What This Role Is Accountable For
- Professionally representing Elk Ridge Modular in all interactions with employees, customers, and business partners
- Working alongside Skilled Builders across all construction phases — framing, finishing, and everything in between
- Reading cut lists and material lists, and cutting and prepping building materials accurately
- Continuously improving your understanding of builds, order of assembly, quality of finish, and overall speed of work
- Staying ahead of the build — knowing what's coming next and prepping the team and the area for it
- Keeping the shop and yard clean, tidy, and organized
- Moving materials and buildings around the yard, including forklift operation once trained
- Helping load and unload finished buildings onto trailers
- Working with Skilled Builders to provide Work in Progress updates to the project management team
- Communicating successes, challenges, and anything you need help with to the Operations Manager
- Assisting with product delivery and occasional site installs when required
- Looking after your weekly health, fitness, and mindfulness goals
- Any other duties requested by ERM Leadership
Experience & Traits Needed
- Some carpentry or construction experience, or a genuine drive to learn the trade
- Familiar with basic hand and power tools (drills, impacts, mitre saws)
- Quick learner who can take a task, complete it well, and then look for ways to do it better
- A deep enjoyment of learning and taking pride in your work
- Good, clear, and concise communication skills
- Able to take feedback and apply it without getting defensive
- Reliable transportation
- A good sense of humour — we work hard and we like to make it fun
Not Required, But Helpful
- Experience building homes, cabins, or saunas
- Experience rigging and moving structures
- Forklift experience or certification
- Ability to operate basic equipment like generators and tractors
- Comfortable hooking up and towing a trailer

Compensation
- $22–$30/hour depending on experience and qualifications
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Where you start in that range depends on what you walk in with. Where you end up depends on what you do once you're here. We'd rather pay someone well for getting good fast than keep them at the bottom because that's where they started.

Work Location: In person — Coldstream, BC
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
