Children's Autism Services of Edmonton is seeking a 10-month full-time continuing Education Administrative Assistant to support staffing coordination and educational programming within our growing organization.
We provide family-centered, in-home and classroom-based services for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Staffing & Scheduling
· Coordinate daily staffing needs and program coverage
· Schedule and place substitute staff
· Track employee absences, leave requests, and attendance
· Communicate staffing updates to staff and supervisors
· Maintain staffing schedules and databases
Administrative Support
· Respond to inquiries from staff and families
· Maintain confidential records and documentation
· Assist with data entry, reporting, and document preparation
· Support staffing and attendance-related procedures
Educational Program Support
· Provide afternoon administrative and classroom support
· Assist educators with organizational and operational tasks
· Prepare resources and support communication activities.
· Collaborate with educational teams to meet program needs
Qualifications
· Experience in administration, scheduling, staffing coordination, or education preferred
· Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
· Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
· Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and Child Welfare Check required
Preferred Skills
· Experience with substitute staffing or workforce scheduling
· Knowledge of educational settings and student support services
· Strong problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills

Additional Information
· 10-month position from September to June
· Follows school year schedule with summers off (unpaid)
· Located at Maier Centre West
· Early shifts starting at 6:45am/7:00am
· Possibility of split shifts
· Potential evening and weekend commitments
