TalentWorld is looking for an experienced forklift operator for straight day or straight afternoon shift in Brampton
Shift: Days Mon - Fri, 6:45am - 3:15pm, Afternoon Mon - Fri, 3pm - 11:30pm
Pay: Days $21.55/hour, Afternoon $22.30/hour
Location: Brampton (Mississauga Rd/Steeles Ave)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience on an Order Picker (with Fall Protection), Crown reach and walkie forklift
- Need to have an updated valid forklift certification for all 3 machines
-Need to be able to work full-time hours, Monday - Friday
- Need to pass a forklift test before starting
Job Duties:
- Operate all material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations/ standards
- MHE includes the Order Picker, Reach, Single and Double-walkies and lift truck
- Complete the pre-shift equipment inspection process and immediately report any issues or concerns to Supervisor or Team Lead
- Ensure all loads are properly secured to the pallet or within the gaylord before transporting goods throughout the DC
- Place cartons onto mesh decks in the racking as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Retrieve cartons from the racking and place onto a pallet as per the SOPs
- Place pallets into the various drop zones and P&D locations and complete all systemic transactions
- Retrieve empty pallets and full cardboard gaylords and transport as per the SOPs
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
- Ability to walk/stand all day and bend, lift and push
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout their shift
- PPE Required: CSA approved Safety Shoes
