Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Service Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest experiences from check-in to check-out. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The Guest Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring guests feel valued and comfortable throughout their stay, contributing to the overall reputation of our hotel or resort.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using the property management system
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
- Process cash handling transactions accurately and securely
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised floor area at all times
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting as needed
- Uphold restaurant policies and procedures to ensure safety and security for all guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or guest services is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
- Basic cash handling skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are advantageous
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism
- A friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to assist others
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards is a plus but not mandatory
