Job Position: Plant Maintenance Technician
Barry Group Inc. is looking to fill a position within it's maintenance department in Harbour Breton, NL.
Duties:
As a maintenance technician you must deal with all production maintenance responsibilities and issues as they arise. Each new day and situation may bring new tasks or problems that will need to be taken care of. Duties would include completing preventative maintenance, maintaining machinery and pumps as per maintenance manuals, troubleshooting, dealing with small motors and sensors, use of electronics, daily maintenance of power jacks, strapping machines, scale calibrating and all other production related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Must have education or equivalent work experience in electrical, mill wright, carpentry and/or welding
- Experience working around processing equipment and/or electrical experience would be considered an asset.
- Forklift training is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license is required
Compensation:
This is a unionized position and compensation is based on collective agreement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.25 per hour

- Harbour Breton, NL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
