Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food industry standards are preferred but not required; training will be provided. The Server plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in all aspects of service
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver seamless guest experiences
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS and basic math skills for billing and change calculations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols within the food industry
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required; training available for new hires
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while providing friendly guest interactions
- Basic understanding of food preparation, serving techniques, and restaurant operations
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and guests
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
