They are currently seeking a motivated and patient-centered Registered Community Pharmacist to join their collaborative team. Position Summary
The Registered Community Pharmacist plays a key role in delivering exceptional patient-centered pharmacy services and medication management programs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide clinical expertise, medication stewardship, patient education, and direct pharmacy services while supporting positive health outcomes across diverse care settings.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice & Patient Care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care delivered across diverse healthcare settings.
- Accurately review, process, and dispense prescriptions while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional practice.
- Provide comprehensive medication counselling and education to patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
- Practice to the full scope of a Registered Pharmacist, delivering patient-centered clinical services and contributing to exceptional pharmacy care and medication management programs.
- Foster strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and community partners to support a collaborative and integrated approach to healthcare delivery.
Medication Stewardship & Compliance
- Demonstrate excellence in the stewardship of narcotic and controlled medications by ensuring full compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical standards, with a particular focus on Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) therapies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to all applicable pharmacy legislation, policies, and professional standards.
Operational Responsibilities
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support operational excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education & Professional Credentials
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized Canadian university, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (CPBC).
- Current, unrestricted Practising Pharmacist licence in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Successful completion of the BCPHA OAT CAMPP Program.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (Level C or HCP).
- Professional Liability Insurance.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector.
Technical Knowledge & Experience
- Strong knowledge of British Columbia pharmacy legislation, including the Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act (PODSA).
- Deep understanding of applicable provincial pharmacy policies, standards, and guidelines.
- High proficiency and experience using Kroll pharmacy software.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a community pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection.
- Experience in travel health, chronic disease management, or smoking cessation programs.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or precepting pharmacy students and/or pharmacy technicians.
- Proficiency in a second language.

Physical & Schedule Requirements

- Ability to work scheduled shifts of:
- 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., or
- 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits

- $54.00 – $56.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
