Driver / Hiking Guide – Summer Seasonal Position
We are seeking an energetic, professional, and safety-focused Driver / Hiking Guide to join our team for the summer season. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who enjoys the outdoors, hiking, meeting people from around the world, and driving scenic mountain routes.
You will lead small groups on a variety of sightseeing and hiking tours, safely transporting guests to trailheads and guiding short hikes and nature walks.
Position Responsibilities
- Safely operate 15+ passenger vehicles on mountain and highway routes
- Lead small-group hiking tours and interpretive nature walks
- Provide excellent guest service and create a fun, welcoming atmosphere
- Ensure guest safety during transportation and hikes
- Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of vehicles
- Assist guests with loading/unloading equipment and personal items
- Adapt to changing mountain weather and trail conditions professionally
Requirements
- Valid Alberta Class 4 Driver’s License
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Experience driving 8+ passenger vehicles required
- Comfortable speaking to groups and leading outdoor activities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically capable of leading short hikes and walks on uneven terrain
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous guiding, tourism, outdoor recreation, or hospitality experience
- Knowledge of local hiking trails, wildlife, and mountain environments
- Experience working with international visitors and small groups
