About Ranbir Sidhu Studio
Ranbir Sidhu Studio is a Toronto-based art and design studio creating award-winning public art, private commissions, and sculptural installations. We are looking for an Industrial Designer to join our team and help bring ambitious concepts from sketch to fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Develop fabrication-ready technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Create high-quality 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
- Translate concept sketches into manufacturable designs.
- Produce renderings and presentation materials using KeyShot and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with fabricators, engineers, and project managers throughout production.
- Assist with material selection, hardware sourcing, and prototype development.
- Participate in fabrication reviews, installations, and quality control.
- Contribute to large-scale public art projects and private commissions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in industrial or product design.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Working knowledge of Rhino and Grasshopper is an asset.
- Experience with KeyShot.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of production drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication is a strong asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.
