We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, freight handling, and vehicle maintenance, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on professionalism and safety compliance.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Transport freight to designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and ensure vehicle safety
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading cargo
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transportation activities
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a Class 1 license or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and freight logistics is highly desirable
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues effectively
- Prior experience in freight transportation or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
