Overview
Ainley Group is currently seeking an experienced CAD Civil/Linear Designer with solid experience in Bently MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D to to join our Collingwood or Mississauga Offices. As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to prepare design and contract drawings, plans and profiles, cross-sections, details, schedules and quantity estimates for linear municipal infrastructure projects in a dynamic design team setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Develop detailed civil and linear infrastructure designs using CAD software such as MicroStation, Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed designs associated with municipal infrastructure projects; plans and profiles and details in both AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Coordinate project drawings with project managers, design managers, project engineers, CAD staff and others.
- Prepare detailed drafting documents, schematics, and plans for construction teams.
- Review design models for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the development of construction documentation and coordinate revisions as needed.
Requirements
- Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or Civil Technician with a minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably in the Design Office, working on linear municipal infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience and proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD & Civil 3D are a must and InRoads would be an asset. Other computer software skills including Word, Excel & MS Project essential.
- Familiarity with various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards (e.g. Region of Peel, York, Halton, OPSD, Durham and/or Toronto).
- Independent, organized and motivated team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects and drive the deliverable process.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
