Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Subcontractor Countertop Installer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with various countertop materials such as quartz, granite, marble, laminate, and solid surfaces. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who can deliver clean, precise installations with high-quality finishes.
Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 annually based on piecework

Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, fabricators, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate installations
- Coordinate with clients to review measurements and confirm design preferences as needed
Responsibilities:
- Install countertops including quartz, granite, marble, laminate, and solid surface materials
- Accurately measure, level, and cut materials on-site when needed
- Mount sinks and backsplashes and apply sealants and adhesives appropriately
- Prepare surfaces and ensure proper support structures prior to installation
- Transport and handle slabs with care to avoid damage
- Follow safety protocols while lifting and maneuvering heavy materials
- Perform finishing work such as polishing edges and sealing surfaces
- Read blueprints and fabrication specifications for accurate installs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Operate necessary tools and equipment including saws, polishers, and hand tools
- Communicate progress and updates to the project manager
Qualifications:
- Must speak English to ensure effective communication on-site and with clients
- Must have own vehicle, tools, and installation equipment
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing countertops (quartz, granite, laminate, etc.)
- Must carry valid Liability Insurance and WSIB coverage
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Experience with on-site adjustments and working with tight tolerances
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and templates
- Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy materials
- Comfortable using a smartphone and basic tech tools for dispatch and updates
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Driver’s license required
- Clean, professional appearance and excellent customer service skills
