Job Summary: We are seeking a vigilant and experienced Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position preferred
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- Physical stamina and fitness
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in security procedures. (Alberta Security Guard License)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to handle emergency situations effectively
Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
