We are currently seeking a skilled Trailer Truck Mechanic to join Walking Floor International / Canada and contribute to the repair and service of tractor trailers. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a 310T Truck & Coach certification or 310J Truck Trailer certification. The primary focus of this role is to perform maintenance and repairs on various makes of tractor trailers, including conducting annual safety inspections in compliance with Ministry of Transportation requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on tractor trailers, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct annual safety inspections according to Ministry of Transportation regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete repairs efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Ensure attention to detail, work quality, and consistency in all repair tasks.
- Adapt to different tasks and requirements on a daily basis.
- Maintain a customer service-oriented approach in all interactions and tasks.
- Foster a friendly and open work environment within the facility.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid 310T Truck & Coach certification or 310J Truck Trailer certification.
- Preferably have at least one year of experience in trailer truck maintenance and repair.
- Demonstrated goal-oriented mindset with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to consistently deliver high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Must possess safety steel-toed boots, with a work boot allowance provided.
- Ability to work full-time days, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
