On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Regulatory and Compliance Specialist for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.
Regulatory and Compliance Specialist - Job Description:
This position involves leading regulatory and environmental compliance for all our clients' products across global markets. The role is critical in ensuring products meet current requirements while anticipating emerging legislation and compliance trends, helping remove barriers to both existing and new markets.
Regulatory and Compliance Specialist - Responsibilities:
- Lead and continuously improve our clients' regulatory and environmental compliance programs.
- Act as the internal expert on global regulatory standards and certifications.
- Plan and manage regulatory testing and certification activities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
- Maintain all compliance documentation and records.
- Assess the compliance impact of engineering changes and environmental regulations.
- Lead environmental compliance efforts and collaborate across various teams.
Regulatory and Compliance Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory and environmental compliance for hardware products.
- Strong working knowledge of international regulatory and environmental standards.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies, test labs, and external compliance consultants.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to compliance challenges.
- Comfort working in a dynamic environment with evolving regulations.
Regulatory and Compliance Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in global markets.
- Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, POP, TSCA, and California Prop 65 regulations.
- Experience with EMI/EMC, safety, mechanical, and electrical compliance domains.
- Ability to influence across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in product lifecycle management.
