Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Cook and assemble menu items according to recipes and customer orders
- Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs using cake decorating techniques
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Package baked goods and prepared dishes for takeout or delivery orders
- Assist with inventory management by organizing ingredients and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and ensuring their satisfaction with their orders
Skills
- Proven experience in baking, cooking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Skilled in cake decorating and food presentation
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods
- Good communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions
- Experience with food packaging for takeout or delivery is a plus
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality, creativity, and consistency
Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
