Job Title: Machinist ,Lathe

Company Description: Armor Machine & Manufacturing Ltd, is a full service, turnkey machine shop that boasts over 75,000 sq feet of production space and 40 years’ experience in industry. Armor Machine specializes in the machining of Oil & Gas components, ranging from small components to the largest parts the down hole drilling industry.
Introduction: Armor Machine is hiring machinist positions for our CNC lathe department. Past experience in Oil & Gas machining is preferred. Applicants with Weiler experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Read and Interpret engineer’s drawings
- Operate numerically controlled machines(CNC)
- Ability to proficiently program machinery will be considered an asset
- Machine parts to specifications using a lathe machine.
- Document and report any deficiencies
- Maintain work station and keep up with housekeeping duties
Qualifications:
- Should have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License or reliable way to get to work
- Ability to drive a Forklift and operate an overhead crane an asset
- Journeymen certificate or applicable years’ experience working as a machinist
- Oil & Gas machining experience
- Ability to efficiently work independently as well as in a team
- Attention to detail
