Schedule
- Monday to Thursday: 9-hour shifts
- Friday: 4-hour shift
- Overtime available and may be required
- Must be available for scheduled plant shutdowns, emergency/breakdown repairs, and occasional call-in support
- Weekend work may be required as needed
Work Environment
This position is based in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment and requires strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
Working conditions include:
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
- Confined space entry when required
- Exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and varying weather conditions
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and standard plant safety equipment
- Working at heights and on elevated platforms
Physical Requirements
The successful candidate must be capable of:
- Lifting and carrying tools, materials, and equipment
- Climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
- Pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods
- Performing physically demanding tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and fabrication work to a high standard of quality
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Fit and assemble custom fabricated products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Adapt to changing priorities and work assignments
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of TIG welding experience required
- Proven ability to TIG weld light-gauge materials
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Experience fitting and fabricating custom products
- Commitment to safe work practices and procedures
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
