Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, ensuring food safety and sanitation, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper food handling and presentation
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sanitation of tables, chairs, and service stations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as needed to support overall operations
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines in accordance with health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Squirrel or similar platforms
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, cash handling, and order calculations
- Background in hospitality or the food industry is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in developing their skills
All applicants will be subject to approval by the Liquor Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba.
Pay: $16.40 per hour
