Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barn Manager to oversee the production of the Catfish Creek Pork System of 6,500 sows. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in hiring and training qualified staff to meet production targets . This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of the pork industry, to manage various farm activities effectively. The Barn Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of animals, proper maintenance of barn facilities, and smooth operation of barn-related tasks.
Duties
- Supervise daily barn activities including feeding, watering, and caring for livestock
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the barn
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Oversee the safe handling and storage of feed, supplies, and farm tools
- Scheduling farm staff shifts and assigning tasks such as cleaning, repairs, and animal health checks
- Conduct regular inspections of barn structures for repairs or safety hazards
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and farm regulations
- Hiring and training qualified staff
- Raising the number and quality of piglets produced.

Starting Wage at $100,000/year - up to $160,000/year depending on production achieved. Experience of 3-5 years within the pork industry is required.
