Seasonal Northern Ontario Manager - Gravenhurst Locations
Good Behaviour is looking for a Seasonal Northern Ontario Manager to help lead our summer Gravenhurst location.
This role is for someone who is organized, proactive, calm under pressure, and able to bring structure and consistency across multiple locations. We’re looking for someone who can lead by example, support and develop teams, maintain strong operational standards, and help set the tone for a successful summer season while working under the guidance of our senior management team.
Because this role supports multiple formats, it requires someone who can move comfortably between ice cream service and a more food-focused environment. Gravenhurst will also include burger service, which means this role needs someone who understands both guest-facing hospitality and the operational discipline required to support hot food execution.
What the role looks like
- Help oversee the day-to-day operations across our location
- Support and direct teams through opening, closing, daily flow, and guest service
- With support from our senior management team, to lead staffing, onboarding, training, and schedule support across the summer season
- Maintain strong standards in cleanliness, organization, product quality, customer service, and brand presentation
- Help support both scoop service and burger / hot food execution depending on location
- Keep teams focused, accountable, and supported during busy periods
- Monitor labour performance and help ensure locations are operating efficiently
- Support inventory awareness, ordering coordination, and vendor communication as needed
- Help identify operational issues early and support problem-solving in real time
- Maintain health and safety expectations and help ensure locations are inspection-ready
- Support communication between the northern locations and ownership
- Help create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented environment across all 3 locations
What we’re looking for
- Leadership presence and the ability to guide a team with clarity, consistency, and accountability
- Someone organized, calm under pressure, and able to move with urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Strong operational instincts and the ability to keep multiple moving parts aligned across different locations
- A strong sense of ownership, pride in standards, and the ability to lead in a hands-on way
- Good communication skills and the ability to keep a team focused, informed, and moving well throughout the day
- A clear understanding of labour cost, staffing efficiency, and the importance of operating well during seasonal volume
- The ability to apply that understanding in a practical way through scheduling awareness, team support, inventory organization, service standards, and day-to-day decision-making
- Someone who can balance quality, organization, and efficiency without losing sight of the guest experience and team environment
- Confidence working in both scoop-shop and food-service environments
- At least 5 years of experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry
- At least 2 years of leadership or management experience in a fast-paced hospitality, retail, or food-service setting
We care a lot about attitude, work ethic, and how someone shows up for the team. This role is a great fit for someone who wants to lead, stay hands-on, and help create a strong and organized summer season across multiple locations.
