JOB SUMMARY
The Fort Garry Hotel, a historic hotel in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, prides itself on a history of exceptional banquet service. We are looking for polite and professional Banquet Servers who will be responsible for greeting, assisting and serving guests at functions and events. As a Banquet Server, you will help assist with preparation and clean up, serve guests, and respond to questions and requests.
Note: Please apply only if you have previous 2 year plus experience as a Banquet Server.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing tables, serving stations or buffet tables for service
- Running food from banquet kitchen to the function tables/area
- Serving food and beverage to guests at their tables, serving stations or reception style
- Providing bar service to guests, including cash and credit/debit service
- Cleaning up after events
- Assisting with inventory
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Must show you can communicate effectively in English; additional language(s) are an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Professional & polite
- Can work well as part of a team
- Must have Smart Choices® certification (responsible beverage service).
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
