Big White Ski Resort is hiring qualified Repair & Service Shop Technicians for the 2026/27 winter season. We are looking for skilled individuals who are passionate about high-quality ski and snowboard maintenance. Our workshop is equipped with industry-leading Wintersteiger machines—including the state-of-the-art Jupiter tuning robot, Speedtronic calibrator, and Wax Future Infrared Waxer.
This role is for the hands-on technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume workshop environment. You will be responsible for the integrity of our rental fleet and the quality of our guest service repairs.
Advanced Tuning & Repair: Perform professional-grade repairs and maintenance on customer skis and snowboards, with a particular emphasis on base and edge work.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and service the resort’s extensive ski and snowboard rental fleet to ensure safety and performance.
Tech Operations: Mount and calibrate ski bindings to meet manufacturer and resort safety standards.
Rental Shop Support: Assist in the Rental Shop as required, including fitting guests with skis/snowboards, performing waxes, and providing general equipment maintenance and calibration support.
Wintersteiger Operations: Safely and efficiently operate all workshop machinery, including the Jupiter robot and automated waxing systems.
Customer Service & Admin: Provide professional service at the repair shop counter, sell parts and accessories, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate repair records.
Shop Environment: Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop at all times.
Minimum one year of experience as a Repair & Service Shop Technician.
Demonstrated experience in the ski and snowboard industry (familiarity with Wintersteiger equipment is highly preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude with an excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced team environment.
Professional attitude, reliability, and patience when interacting with guests of all ages.
- Must be available to work a flexible, rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
