Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate most possess comprehensive electrical experience in low-rise, mid-rise/high-rise environment This role involves installing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse new construction and renovation projects, utilizing a wide range of tools and technical skills in a dynamic environment.
Duties:
- Assist other journeymen and foremen with electrical installations
- Pull, route, and terminate wire and cable
- Install electrical panels, lighting systems, switches, and receptacles
- Install fire alarm cable, devises and confirm operation of system
- Follow all job site safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain tools, materials, and a clean work area
- Coordinate with other trades on-site as needed
Experience:
- Proven experience as an electrician or in a similar electrical role within a new construction or renovation environment.
- knowledge of FA wiring and operation
- Familiarity with construction processes and renovation projects involving electrical systems.
- hands on experiance installing electrical equipment such as electrical panles, Transformers, and switchgear
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid 309A Electrical Journeyperson certification/license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices
- Comfortable working at heights and in active construction environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Pay: $52.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Greater Toronto Area, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Electrical High-Rise or Mid-Rise : 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- 309A Construction and Maintenance (required)
- Working at Heights Certificate (required)
