About the role:
IAMGOLD is seeking a results-driven and hands-on Project Manager, Major Projects to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of work for a mining development project. This role will act as the key on-site representative of the Company, ensuring that project activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Supervision and coordination of work
- Supervise and supervise all companies and field teams to ensure efficient and safe execution of the work.
- Plan, coordinate and prioritize activities to minimize interference and meet deadlines.
- Assume the role of the Client's main representative on site and focal point of coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Project planning, monitoring and performance
- Develop, update and analyze progress schedules in collaboration with the Project Controller.
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors (progress, productivity, resources) and ensure the achievement of objectives.
- Identify deviations, recommend and manage corrective actions to ensure deadlines and costs are met.
Contract management, quality and compliance
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, technical specifications and project standards.
- Supervise and audit quality control activities (ITP, testing, materials, certifications) and approve associated deliverables.
- Manage bills, invoicing, contractual changes, non-conformities and acceptance processes.
HSE governance and risk management
- Implement and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements (prevention plans, work permits).
- Ensure the application of HSE standards on site and the compliance of working methods.
- Coordinate stakeholder interventions (HSE, suppliers, organizations) and contribute to proactive risk management
Qualifications
Key Skills & Knowledge:-
University diploma (BAC) or college diploma (DEC) in civil, mining, geological, construction, mechanical engineering or any other relevant field.

Have 5 to 10 years of experience in the mining or construction industry

Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, team coordination, engineering management and/or site management.

High autonomy and proactivity

Be available to travel regularly to the project site in the Chibougamau region.

Salary Range: C$126,000 - $154,300 + bonus
The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
