Job Description
Shortek Edmonton Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on construction, shoring, piling, and excavation projects.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate skid steer equipment on construction sites.
- Perform , excavation, backfilling, material handling, and site cleanup.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete maintenance reports.
- Work around underground utilities and follow site safety procedures.
- Assist with general labour duties when equipment operation is not required.
- Work closely with supervisors and other crew members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous skid steer operating experience required.
- Experience in construction, excavation, shoring, or civil work considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License & Reliable transportation
- Ability to read site drawings and follow grade stakes is an asset.
- Ground Disturbance certification preferred.
- CSTS 2020 or equivalent safety training required.
- Strong attention to safety and safe work practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour as required.
- Ability to work out of town for extended periods of time.
