Job Summary
The Roll Forming Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of roll forming equipment used to manufacture high-quality steel studs, tracks, and related products in accordance with production schedules and quality standards. This role also includes the safe operation of forklifts, packaging of finished products, and providing support for shipping and other general production activities, while ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Set up and operate roll forming machines according to production schedules.
- Perform machine changeovers, tooling adjustments, and profile setup.
- Monitor product dimensions and quality throughout production.
- Maximize machine uptime while minimizing scrap and downtime.
- Complete production reports and machine documentation accurately.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy, straightness, hole locations, and overall quality.
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with company procedures.
Material Handling
- Operate propane or electric forklifts safely to load and unload steel coils and finished products.
- Transport materials between production, warehouse, and shipping areas.
- Maintain accurate packaging and shipping records.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment damage immediately.
Teamwork
- Work closely with supervisors, quality inspectors, maintenance personnel, and shipping staff.
- Assist in training new operators when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating roll forming machinery is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to read production orders and engineering drawings.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, steel coils, and moving equipment.
- Work cooperatively with all departments.

Working Conditions
- Full-time position
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
