Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tile surfaces in residential and commercial spaces. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of flooring installation techniques. The Tile Installer will work closely with project managers and other trades to ensure high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation according to project specifications and blueprints
- Cut, shape, and lay tiles using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Ensure proper adhesion of tiles using appropriate mortar or adhesive materials
- Grout, caulk, and seal tiled surfaces to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute projects accurately
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly
- Collaborate with carpenters, handymen, and other construction professionals to complete projects on time
- Inspect completed work for quality control, making adjustments as needed to meet standards
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, cutters, levels, and saws
- Experience in construction, particularly flooring installation and tile laying
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong carpentry skills for framing or related tasks when needed
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and edges effectively
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various repair tasks
- Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving abilities
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions for extended periods
