MUST HAVE A VALID NATIONAL LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION
We’re seeking a strong, proactive Lifeguard to oversee safety at our extremely busy hotel pool complex featuring a waterslide, jacuzzi, and large family pool. Our property frequently hosts sports teams, group events, and vacationing families—this is not your average quiet pool deck.
As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, controlled, and enjoyable aquatic environment for guests of all ages. With heavy daily traffic—including children, teens, and athletic teams—you must be vigilant, confident in enforcing rules, and ready to respond immediately to emergencies.
This is a highly visible, guest-facing role requiring professionalism, stamina, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pool, waterslide, and jacuzzi areas continuously and attentively
- Enforce all aquatic facility rules firmly and respectfully
- Actively supervise high-volume swim times (teams, families, peak weekends)
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and provide first aid/CPR as needed
- Manage waterslide dispatch and ensure safe rider spacing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck
- Complete daily safety inspections and documentation
- Communicate clearly with guests, parents, coaches, and hotel management
Required Qualifications
- Valid National Lifeguard Certification (NLC) – Mandatory
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Strong swimming ability and physical stamina
- Ability to remain alert during long, high-traffic shifts
- Confident rule enforcement and conflict resolution skills
- Weekend and holiday availability required
