Experienced Renovation Technician
SecuraHome Ltd. is looking for a highly skilled and experienced renovation professional to join our growing team. We complete residential, commercial, school, retirement home, and property management projects across the GTA.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently, and consistently delivers high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Drywall installation, repairs, taping, mudding, and sanding
- Wood and metal framing
- Interior and exterior painting
- Ceramic, porcelain, and backsplash tile installation
- Trim, baseboard, casing, and finish carpentry
- Ceiling installation and repairs
- Flooring installation (vinyl, laminate, and hardwood is an asset)
- Read drawings and follow project plans
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Communicate professionally with clients and coworkers
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on renovation experience
- Strong experience in:
- Drywall
- Framing
- Painting
- Tiling
- Mudding and taping
- Finish carpentry
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence
- Reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Assets
- Experience with commercial renovations
- Experience working in schools, retirement homes, or occupied buildings
- Flooring installation experience
- Cabinet installation
- Minor plumbing knowledge
- WHMIS certification
- Working at Heights certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
