We are seeking a committed, structured, and results-driven Operations Superintendent to lead day-to-day crushing operations, ensure safe and efficient production, and support the performance of our teams across multiple mine sites.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day execution of crushing operations
- Develop and communicate shift plans, production targets, and task assignments
- Supervise operations supervisors and ensure alignment between teams, equipment, and production objectives
- Oversee safe start-up, operation, and shutdown procedures for crushing plants
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Enforce company policies, operational procedures, and legal requirements
- Participate in OHS meetings, conduct field inspections, and follow up on incidents
- Review and validate FLRAs, pre-operational inspections, operating logs, and OHS documentation
- Maintain sites in a state of readiness for audits, regulatory inspections, and client visits
- Exercise stop-work authority when conditions require it
Production Oversight
- Monitor feed consistency, throughput, product gradation, and plant performance
- Ensure production reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
- Identify bottlenecks and work closely with maintenance to minimize downtime
- Adjust operational plans based on material conditions, weather, and equipment status
Resource and Team Management
- Support schedule planning, shift coverage, workforce management, and overtime approvals
- Coach and mentor supervisors, lead hands, and operators to develop their skills
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of training for operations personnel
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in crushing operations, mining services, or heavy industrial environments
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or superintendent role
- Strong knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, loaders, and supporting equipment
- Experience working in regulated environments (mining, OHS, client requirements)
- Surface Miner Common Core training (asset)
- First Aid and CPR certification (asset)
- Valid driver’s licence
Technical and Leadership Skills
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams in demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with production reporting, operational planning, and basic computer tools

- Overtime: Paid after 40 hours per week
