Overview
As a Documentation Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring that our customers' shipments, primarily in the Logs & Lumber export industry, are meeting all export requirements to ensure their cargo reaches its final destination. Your primary responsibilities will include validating shipping instructions, entering shipping instructions in Ocean Carrier and 3rd party websites, and ensuring that shipping timelines are met to ensure smooth handling of customer shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all customer documentation requirements, from submission of Shipping Instructions to producing Final Documentation to the Account Management team.
- Producing, in a timely and accurate manner, any supplementary documentation required as per customers’ specific shipment requirements. (i.e.: Phyto Certificates, Fumigation Reports, Certificates of Origin, etc..).
- Accurately entering data in internal or external systems, as per customers instructions.
- Coordinating frequently between different parties such as Account Managers and Ocean Carriers, ensuring communication is clear and performed in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong written communication skills - English a must due to international shipping requirements.
- Ability to prioritize and organize many diverse tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and within important deadlines.
- Ability to perform tasks with high degree of accuracy and have a strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Inttra, B13, AES and NAFTA.
- Knowledge of phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin, various other export documents.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
