About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our new, state-of-the-art Corrugated Sheet Manufacturing in Surrey. This role is the "heartbeat" of our production floor, ensuring our high-speed Corrugated Sheets for Box making continues seamless with zero unplanned downtime. You will be a team member responsible for the mechanical integrity of our entire production line
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform daily and weekly lubrication and inspection of high-speed motors, gearboxes, and centrifugal/vacuum pumps.
- Mechanical Repairs: Diagnose and replace worn components including industrial bearings, gaskets, and mechanical seals.
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Maintain and repair high-pressure hydraulic systems, cylinders, and pneumatic valves critical to can-forming and transport.
- Parts Management: Proactively identify and change "wear-and-tear" parts before failure to maximize line efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly respond to line stoppages to troubleshoot mechanical failures of Machineries..
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certification: Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Beverage, Food, or Packaging preferred).
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of power transmission (gears, belts, chains), precision alignment, and hydraulic sealing technology.
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work on ladders/platforms.
- Safety Mindset: Current WHMIS 2026 certification and a strict adherence to Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
