Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Parts Specialist to join our team. This role involves assisting customers with their automotive parts needs, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive parts, retail sales, and excellent communication skills. Experience with dealership operations and familiarity with various software systems is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories
- Manage inventory levels, including order fulfillment, stock replenishment, and organization of parts displays
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication, phone etiquette, and negotiation skills
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools
- Support marketing efforts by promoting products and services to enhance sales opportunities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely delivery of parts
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment used in the store or warehouse
- Keep the work area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
Experience
- Prior dealership experience or background in automotive repair is preferred
- Proven retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems, CMMS software, and inventory management tools
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases
- Familiarity with warranty claim process is an asset
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and negotiation capabilities
- Knowledge of automotive parts, maintenance procedures, and order fulfillment processes
- Organizational skills necessary for managing stock levels and maintaining an orderly workspace
- Experience with marketing strategies or sales management is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory calculations
