Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealership settings and possess strong mechanical knowledge. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The Auto Body Technician will work with various hand and power tools, demonstrating proficiency in automotive repair techniques. Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans to restore vehicles to factory specifications
- Perform body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to execute repairs efficiently and accurately
- Conduct paint preparation, sanding, priming, and painting as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and ensure proper handling of vehicle parts during repairs
- Follow safety protocols and industry best practices throughout all repair processes
Qualifications
- Previous dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Experience with automotive painting, dent removal, and bodywork techniques is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not required
