Position Summary
Reporting to the Continuing Education Manager, the Continuing Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of APEGA’s continuing education programs and learning initiatives.
The role plans, develops, and delivers continuing education programs and learning initiatives across a range of formats, including in-person, virtual, and online learning. This includes identifying learning needs, coordinating stakeholders, developing & designing program content and structure, and ensuring effective and consistent delivery aligned with APEGA’s learning strategy and regulatory requirements as well as registrant needs.
The role may independently coordinate assigned programs or initiatives, and is responsible for ensuring effective, efficient, inclusive delivery and a positive participant experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate continuing education programs and learning initiatives across multiple formats and topic areas
- Identify learning needs and support the development of relevant and impactful learning opportunities
- Develop program structures, session plans, and delivery approaches within established frameworks
- Lead the end-to-end coordination and delivery of assigned programs or initiatives, including sourcing, vetting and contracting presenters, coordinate the promoting of opportunities, managing registration, production, and evaluation.
- Develop timelines with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective and timely delivery of programs.
- Ensure programs are delivered consistently and aligned with APEGA standards and objectives
- Provide administrative and operational support required for program delivery, including registration management, reporting, and coordination tasks.
- Stakeholder & Presenter Coordination
- Develop and maintain learning materials, content, and program resources to support continuing education programs.
- Design and contribute to the delivery of online, virtual, and blended learning opportunities.
- Ensure content is accurate, current, and aligned with program objectives, learning outcomes, and regulatory requirements.
- Use learning systems and tools (e.g., LMS platforms) to support content delivery, access, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to enhance learning content and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
- Coordinate logistics and delivery of continuing education sessions and events.
- Lead registration, delivery, and evaluation across formats, including virtual, online, and in-person environments.
- Ensure effective execution, including troubleshooting and supporting participants and presenters.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary experience in a related field (e.g., education, communications, adult learning)
- 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, education delivery, or related roles
- Experience coordinating learning programs, events, or stakeholder-based initiatives
- Experience working with learning management systems, registration platforms, or similar tools
- Experience with instructional design, course mapping and/or building courses in Articulate Rise would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of online educational principals would be considered an asset
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
