Job Summary
We are looking for a professional and safety-conscious AZ Driver to join our fleet. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods while maintaining a high standard of vehicle care and customer service. Whether you are running long-haul or local routes, we value drivers who prioritize road safety and electronic logging compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport & Delivery: Safely operate a heavy-duty truck (tractor-trailer) to transport goods over various distances.
- Inspection: Perform mandatory pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories (tires, lights, brakes, etc.).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD), cargo manifests, and bills of lading. Ensure all delivery paperwork is signed and processed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all provincial/federal DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Cargo Management: (If applicable) Oversee loading/unloading and ensure the load is properly secured according to safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- License: Valid Ontario AZ Commercial Driver’s License (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable AZ driving experience preferred.
- Driving Record: Clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR (must provide within the last 30 days).
- Skills: Proficiency with manual and/or automatic transmissions; experience with backing into tight docks.
- Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).acknowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese would be a strong asset.
- Physical Ability: Able to sit for long periods and perform physical tasks (e.g., opening trailer doors, cranking landing gear). Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Border Crossing: (Optional) Valid FAST card or Passport for US-Canada cross-border hauls is a strong asset.
