Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Tri-axle dump truck driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a tri-axle dump truck to transport materials across various job sites. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tri-axle dump truck to deliver construction materials, aggregates, or other heavy loads to designated locations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep the truck in optimal condition
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during operations
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically operating tri-axle dump trucks in construction or similar environments
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts and other loading machinery
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting heavy loads
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and safety compliance
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site managers
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy trucks
