We are seeking a skilled Fiber Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to ensure the reliable operation of fiber networks. The technician will be responsible for repairing and installing into conduits for fiber optic while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables and associated equipment.

- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for installation and repair tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to repairing existing conduits, running cables through brushing and adhering to customer standards and preferences.
- Work with shovels, ladders and small machines.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Schedule team or self throughout the working week.
- Fill out excel/google sheets templates.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all operations.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in related fields.
- Familiarity with landscaping or roofing is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools necessary for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Strong understanding of safety practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
