Job Summary
Hoffsuemmer Grains is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team during our busiest seasons. This part-time seasonal position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to be part of a small, family-owned operation.
You’ll work alongside our regular crew during July and again throughout fall harvest (October through December), helping us move grain efficiently and keep the elevator running smoothly for our farmer customers.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Perform general maintenance on elevator equipment, bins, and facilities
- Handle groundskeeping duties such as mowing, weed control, and keeping the site clean and orderly
- Assist with grain handling, sampling, and quality checks as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment
- Other duties as needed to support the team during peak season
Skills
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Prior agricultural or grain elevator experience preferred, but not required — we’re willing to train the right person
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working around trucks, equipment, and grain handling machinery
- Willingness to work flexible hours during peak seasons, including some evenings and weekends as needed
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
