About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Interior Design Technologist with a strong technical background to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience producing detailed millwork packages, is familiar with custom millwork design and enjoys collaborating with designers, project managers, and trades to bring projects from concept through construction.
This role is well-suited for someone who is passionate about design, has excellent drafting skills, and understands the importance of accuracy and coordination in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed millwork drawing packages.
- Produce and coordinate custom framing details.
- Develop and revise drawing packages throughout all phases of design and construction.
- Create and modify blacklines based on client customizations.
- Conduct site visits, field measurements, and verify existing conditions.
- Produce accurate technical documentation that complies with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and project requirements.
- Prepare presentation drawings, renderings, and visualizations to support design concepts.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards, project timelines, and client expectations.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to identify and resolve conflicts.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Design Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- Mandatory working knowledge of custom millwork detailing and shop drawings.
- Experience in drafting electrical and lighting layouts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Knowledge of current residential design materials, finishes, fixtures, and products, with familiarity sourcing options from a variety of vendors and suppliers.
- Understanding of residential construction process, methods, interior detailing, and building materials.
- Ability to review and update technical drawings based on design changes, client feedback, and construction requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must have personal vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Rendering or visualization experience is considered an asset.
- Interior design experience is considered an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
