Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support smooth food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be attentive to cleanliness standards, and be eager to contribute to a team-focused restaurant setting. Experience in food handling or the food industry is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness throughout the food prep and service areas
- Help with restocking supplies and ensuring all items are stored properly
- Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist with trash removal and cleaning of kitchen surfaces and floors
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing clean dishes and utensils as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds when necessary
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings or weekends if needed
