About the Role
As a Personal Support Worker, you'll play an important role in helping clients recover safely, maintain their independence, and enjoy a better quality of life at home.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing compassionate, person-centred care
- Assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and repositioning
- Supporting clients' independence and personal goals
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with mobility and prescribed exercise activities when appropriate
- Observing and reporting changes in client condition
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborating with nurses, care coordinators and other healthcare professionals
- Following CareHop policies and professional standards

Required qualifications:
- Recent experience providing care in home care, community, hospital or long-term care settings (including clinical placements)
- Valid CPR & First Aid
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
- TB Test
- Proof of immunization
- Valid SIN and authorization to work in Canada
Experience considered a strong asset:
- Home care, hospital, rehabilitation, retirement, or long-term care experience
- Rehabilitation, restorative care, mobility training, or physiotherapy support
- PTA, OTA, Rehabilitation Assistant, Activation Aide, or Restorative Care experience
- A passion for helping people regain independence and achieve their personal goals
