HVAC Technician
Pay: CA$19.00 - CA$44.00 per hour

We are seeking experienced HVAC technicians to install, repair, and maintain air conditioning, HWT, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems, boilers, & ect. systems for Simcoe Muskoka Home Comfort. A G2 gas ticket is our minimum requirement; sheet metal and AC/refrigeration tickets are an asset. Our work is primarily high-end custom, new construction and retrofit.

Duties:
- Install mini-split AC systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and ductwork in residential settings.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and ensure compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications for equipment.
- Determine the best system design, the materials needed, and the job tasks required.
- Ensure personal and client safety. Follow all safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide and utilize appropriate hand tools.
- Create positive relations with team members and clients through effective communication and problem-solving.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Create and update records and reports as required.
- Actively participate in the training and mentoring of other team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic license, with 313A/313D Ontario Certification.
- At least one year of experience designing, installing and servicing mini-split AC systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and installing ductwork for residential and light commercial systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to complete complex tasks safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Class G Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Additional certification as a Sheet Metal Mechanic would be an asset.
