We’re looking for a qualified candidate to support our culinary team! Your assistance with Food Production will contribute to a consistent and smoothly running kitchen operation. As a Line Cook, you will prepare delicious dishes to perfection, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. You’ll work in a clean, organized workspace and collaborate with our amazing team to ensure an exceptional experience for our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, friendly guest service while ensuring food consistency and quality according to Club standards.
- Set up and stock station with necessary supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring adherence to food safety, portion control, waste management, and workplace standards.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
- Daily preparation of soups, sauces, and dressings
- Production of Daily fresh grab-and-go items
- Assisting with weekly food preparation tasks and menu preparation alongside the Sous Chef
- Receiving and putting away orders while maintaining proper rotation and storage procedures
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of prep areas
- Following recipes and ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Helping on Hot cooking line when needed
- Assisting the kitchen team with additional prep and production tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Food Safe Level One certification, required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Previous kitchen or production cooking experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- POS and Cashier experience an asset
- Ability to lift and move kitchen supplies and orders when required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Fluent in English
- Valid work permit and SIN
Note: Physical aspects of this role include but are not limited to constant standing and walking throughout the shift, along with frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 30 lbs. Additionally, occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting may be necessary.
